Every evening, Empty Frame is left alone in Gallery Zero. The guard checks the corners, dims the lamps, and records no change. By morning, the plaque is polished and the center remains perfectly unoccupied. Critics arrive early, stand at a respectful distance, and agree that nothing has been added since yesterday. At noon, a curator adjusts the wall label and confirms the work is still complete.
